About Us

Our Mission

Short Snout Support is committed to:

  • Education & Advocacy – Raising awareness about breed-specific health concerns, responsible breeding, and ethical pet ownership.
  • Community Support – Assisting owners with resources, medical support, and training to ensure long, healthy lives for their short-snouted companions.
  • Disaster Relief - Providing emergency relief, resources, and evacuation support for short-snouted breeds during natural disasters, ensuring their unique health needs are prioritized in crisis situations.

Our Staff & Volunteers

Short Snout Support is a newly established nonprofit dedicated to advocating for and assisting short-snouted (brachycephalic) breeds. Founded in 2025, the organization is led by a passionate team:

  • Lana (CEO & Co-Founder) – A dedicated advocate for public health, community service, and animal welfare, Lana brings her leadership skills and vast network to Short Snout Support. Her experience as president of the Pacific Coast Bulldog Club and deep love for bulldogs drive the mission forward.


Our History

Short Snout Support was born out of a deep love for brachycephalic (short-snouted) breeds and a commitment to their well-being. With years of experience in bulldog advocacy, rehabilitation, and fostering, Lana and Mark saw firsthand the challenges these dogs face—ranging from medical issues to neglect, abandonment, and unethical breeding practices. Determined to make a lasting impact, they established Short Snout Support as a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescue, rehabilitation, education, and responsible pet ownership for breeds such as Bulldogs and French Bulldogs.
